Videos of the Month - July 2019

Sweltering July brought the usual veritable tsunami of visuals coming in all directions. From the latest Madonna by Emmanuel Adjei, and the return of Sam Smith with his new video by Grant Singer, to a bunch of gems in hiphop, indie rock, alternative and dance music, it was a big month.

Certainly a big month for Ed Sheeran. Just as his new album swept all before it, he continued with a wave of video content that maintained his world domination (of streaming, airplay, sales, etc). And in a couple of videos we saw again how Suffolk's unassuming ginger prince has a natural affinity to comedy. This works very well in Antisocial, with Travis Scott, saw this brought together with Dave Meyers' sometimes controversial magpie creativity, and gave Ed the chance to wear a fine selection of wigs.
