After the customary sleepy start to the year, things started livening up in February. And here is the best stuff that we featured last month, where the new technology played unmistakeable part in some of the biggest moments.
There was Ashnikko, bringing Saam Farahmand back to music videos, and employing AI to spectacular effect. And there was Hak Baker and Hey Baby doing the same.
Slowthai launching a new record with contrasting vids helmed by directing teams The Rest and UNCANNY. While some classic partnerships returned: none more so than Anton Corbijn for the emotional return of Depeche Mode.
The popsters were represented by Rita Ora and Jax Jones featuring Calum Scott, both courtesy of Charlie Sarsfield, while Joe Connor embraced Virtual Production and choreography to elevate Ellie Goulding's new direction.
There was the revival of the trusty photobooth in Sayna Fardaraghi's video for Tom Grennan, more kinkiness from Tove Lo, headscratching concepts for Squid, self-directs from Taylor Swift and Enter Shikari; old school MTV vibes by Ivanna Borin for Paramore; and much more...
