ONHA 'Kodak' by Nitram
Rob Ulitski - 29th May 2024
From the laundrette to the basketball court to the rush hour elevator, Belgian-Ivorian artist OHNA is thrust into people's lives courtesy of a girl's phone choices in a brilliantly executed promo by Brussels-based director Nitram.
The video for Kodak sees the artist travel through a series of playlists on the girl's phone that have manifested into real life, packed full of vibrant and surreal imagery. Most memorably, for her sports playlist, OHNA is transformed into the basketball itself, continuing to perform as he becomes the fixed focus of an ongoing game.
It's a trippy vibe, and is fascinating to watch. From the ambitious concept through to the slick visual effects, it's a brilliantly executed visual from a director worth looking out for.
