Tohé Commaret combines the everyday with the ethereal in a wonderfully stylish promo for French singer Oklou and her collaborator, Swedish rapper/singer Bladee. The video for Take Me By The Hand is an effects-heavy showcase of pensive performance and liminal worlds, breezing through its runtime with 90's inspired set pieces. Shot with unusual perspectives and composition, the cinematography leans into the experimental vibe of the track, and visualises the otherworldly soundscapes. it shows that Commaret, with a background in award-winning short films, has a distinctive eye for music videos."Working with Oklou and Bladee was very easy, and I’m incredibly grateful because I was given almost total creative freedom," says Commaret, who recently signed to FRIEND in London for UK representation. "Post-production was a huge part of the process. We were basically like teenagers, glued to our screens 24/7, eating in front of our computers to deliver everything on time and at the highest quality."The entire team - editing, color grading, VFX, and even the cinematographer - was deeply involved, which created a real sense of fusion and intensity between us. We spent a lot of time searching for the right shapes and forms."
