Picking the best videos of the past month is always hard. But this time, its been really difficult, and keep the list to a reasonable number. As the number of favourite videos on our initial list crept into the 30s, and then the 40s, we realised that this is either the busiest month in the history of Promo News, or the standard of work this year is creeping ever upwards. Or both.

Other trends? The emergence of Malia James, whose video for Honne (above) is included here, as a new director who clearly delights in making pop videos is up there.

So here is our list for May. There are some very good videos, of all stripes and persuasions, in here. We've tried to keep it a reasonable number, but boy, it was hard...
