Luke Bather - 11th May 2016

A run-and-gun forbidden love story set on the streets of Tokyo laced with some gorgeous ad-hoc imagery is the visual accompaniment to Someone That Loves You by Honne and Izzy Bizu.

The story behind the production of this video seems nail-bitingly tense. In 24 hours, director Malia James managed to cast her actress via Instagram, and call in her lead actor from LA - giving him just three hours to get on a plane to a country he'd never set foot in before. So any narrative-enhancing looks of bemusement on his part are probably quite genuine.

All this Eastern guerilla-shot loveliness is intercut with a massively colourful performance from Honne and Izzy Bizu that all manages to coalesce with the narrative in a rainbow haze towards the video's conclusion. Not bad at all for a day's work really.
