And in a month that saw David Wilson's double video for Arcade Fire, and Mark Pellington's breathtaking epic for Imagine Dragons being released, it also turned into a surprisingly big month for animation.

There were seriously good and innovative animated videos for Jon Hopkins, Kelela, Rone, Superchunk, Yacht - and a real mindbender by Elliott Sellers and Erik Ferguson for Lil Jon (above).
