The month that ended with that big Katy v Taylor face-off - and two of the biggest budgeted videos of recent times - had a more modest feel through most of August, and some seriously good work.

From ingenious and beautiful animation for the Village Green project and Father John Misty by Chris Hopewell, a centrifugal experiment for Glass Animals by Eoin Glaister (above), coming of age drama for Logic and Daniel Kvammen, Saam Farahmand rebooting Mick Jagger, the return to videos of Tony Kaye, and Sophie Muller making her first fully narrative, no artist video, it was a goodie.
