To celebrate the 40th anniversary of a landmark hip hop album -&nbsp;LL Cool J's debut album&nbsp;Radio - Gregory Brunkalla has directed a new video for its groundbreaking lead-off single.Brunkalla brings back early hip hop style to the streets of New York City, with cast of young New Yorkers lipsyncing to the track that made LL Cool J one of hip hop's earliest stars: Rock The Bells.Filmed in the classic style, in black and white, all over the City, it thrusts the youthful enthusiasm of mid-80s&nbsp;hip hop into the modern age through the refreshing and feisty performances of an appealing cast. But the emotion of Ronsdorf performance is also key in the&nbsp;haunting and bittersweet feeling that radiates from the work.&nbsp;

BRTHR direct&nbsp;a&nbsp;ferociously glamorous video for&nbsp;Chemtrails Over the Country Club, the title track of Lana Del Rey's&nbsp;new album.&nbsp;The director duo - Alex Lee and Kyle Wightman - are well known for their hyperstylised aesthetic, full of vibrant colours, vintage effects and experimental camera movement. There's plenty of that here, but it never overwhelms the poignancy&nbsp;of the melancholic narrative.&nbsp;The concept features a group of women - Del Rey included - whose lives we view with the contrast of night and day; refined&nbsp;poolside elegance vs their primal, unleashed selves.The frenetic&nbsp;visuals aren't the most immediately obvious pairing to the artist's haunting soundscapes, but the risk has paid off - the resulting project is endlessly watchable and all-consuming in the best way.&nbsp;

Things are not what&nbsp;they seem in David M. Helman's video for James Vincent McMorrow, which follows a happy-go-lucky twentysomething on his way to Hollywood.&nbsp;Opening with a quote from the oracle that is Nicolas Cage, the quirky promo follows an aspiring actor - played by fellow music video director&nbsp;Ezra Ewen - who is trying to find his feet in the city.&nbsp;With all the gear but no idea, Ewen broadcasts his newfound "success" to his followers on Instagram, and we follow the mishaps and stumbles on the&nbsp;journey to his first project... a self-tape casting for a shady Craiglist advert.&nbsp;A scene that really stands out is the drunken dancing down the Hollywood Walk of Fame, another nod to Nicolas Cage in the film&nbsp;Leaving Las Vegas.&nbsp;Beautifully shot by&nbsp;Hayden Mason, the picturesque charm and wonder of Los Angeles is a perfect backdrop to the narrative, and the&nbsp;use of mobile phone footage and montage style edits creates a hyperactive and frenetic feel.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Adam Powell mines the extensive back catalogue of behind the scenes and home movie footage of The 1975,&nbsp;captured by himself and James Booth, for the deeply sentimental and nostalgic Guys.Presumably the theme of using old material&nbsp;was dictated by lockdown but actually it works perfectly in the context of the song. It has been made to work seamlessly by Powell's own edit and Aubrey Woodiwiss's grade.&nbsp; &nbsp;

A.CHAL chases love whilst running away from something just as powerful, in rubberband.'s&nbsp;hypnotic video for Pink Dust.&nbsp;Surreal and otherwordly, the artist is shown traversing endless miles of road&nbsp;via motorbike, and then on-foot, when his bike mysteriously crashes. Then, when he arrives on a deserted beach, he is drawn to the sea during a glorious sunset - brilliantly captured by the camera of DoP Pat Golan.&nbsp;&nbsp;The cinematography is little short of breathtaking in the video. Beautifully&nbsp;graded by Aubrey Woodiwiss, it is an&nbsp;intoxicating blend of rich colours and textures, elevated further by&nbsp;Dylan Edwards' quickfire and snappy edit, and then interrupted by a sequence of animation.&nbsp;Intercut with this narrative, lead actress&nbsp;Janalyn Guillory-Perez appears in unusual conceptual setups - including a slow zoom between her legs, which opens the video. Things are very much open to interpretation, so it will be interesting to see the different reactions and ideas as time goes on.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;

Warren Fu serves up a rapid-fire visual feast for his third collaboration with The 1975 -&nbsp;a video with a nü-metal edge, and frontman Matty Healy rocking Marilyn Manson-esque long hair.The band performs in a box featuring flashing lights, words and images that shift from wall to wall as the camera moves chaotically around them. At one point, Healy has a bomb strapped to his chest that he sets off, and that explodes into more digital images.
