Timon Birkhofer directs an emotionally affecting promo for Justin Jesso's The End. 

Exploring a lifelong love story, full of ups and downs, the narrative splits between younger and older versions of a couple as their relationship blooms and milestones come and go. 

Cleverly transitioning between the vignettes, Birkhofer creates a tapestry of poignant moments which merge together seamlessly, encapsulating decades-worth of memories and a multitude of different emotions. 

DoP Daniel Steven Williams takes a suitably authentic approach to the cinematography, avoiding any stylised lighting or movement, instead allowing the events to unfold in an organic way. 

The concept is a simple but powerful one, which captures the universal zeitgeist and reflects our innate need for connection.
