Videos of the Month – August 2015

A slightly slower month for releases, appropriately enough, in the dog days of our rain-sodden late summer, but some real doozies came out in August.

Several artists and directors reaquainted themselves with each other to fruitful effect - namely Lana Del Rey and Jake Nava, Foals and Nabil, Rollo Jackson and Hot Chip, and Tame Impala and David Wilson. And, in the final hurrah of the month, Dawn Shadforth and Hurts.

We had amazing animation for guitar legend David Gilmour and dance legends Leftfield (with Jason from Sleaford Mods), a 16 minute four video epic from Fka twigs, and Sing J Lee (for Birdy x Rhodes, above) and Joe Connor (for Kelvin Jones) strengthened their credentials as among the hardest-working and creative British directors currently working in the medium.
