Wet 'Deadwater' by George Belfield
George Belfield brings his best game to American suburbia in his lovely video for Brooklyn-based trio Wet's bittersweet song Deadwater.
In the director's distinctive style this is a naturalistic drama, about a girl dealing with emotional turmoil in a believably understated fashion in the picturesque town of Peekskill, in upstate New York.
But when the drama starts to incorporate a performance, as the girl - Wet singer Kelly Zutrau - starts to sing, the emotion moves to another pitch, and it becomes a song (and video) to give you the chills.
