Lucy Bridger directs a stirring promo for Tom Chaplin's Midpoint, starring acclaimed actress Niamh Cusack. 

Acting as a comeback for the Keane frontman, the video tells the story of Joan Day, a 65 year old country singer - played by Cusack.

When Joan comes to London for a show, she decides to reconnect with her estranged daughter (Casey Bird). When they meet, Joan tries to come to terms with her choice to choose the romantic life of a nomadic musician over motherhood.

Full of tender, poignant moments, the video reflects on family, regret and ageing. The subject matter is handled masterfully by Lucy Bridger, who will make you smile one moment, and then tear up the next. 

"Often women are made to feel that motherhood is the only path," notes Bridger. "I wanted to tell a story about a complex woman, who imperfectly rejected this to pursue an independence that fulfils her."
