Italian-American director Luigi Calabrese creates a hypnotic visual for Anna Calvi's collaboration with Iggy Pop, with the artists generating considerable heat at close quarters.This is Calabrese's DC of the God's Lonely Man, not the released 'official' version. And he subverts expectations of both artists: Anna, now a smouldering blonde, dominates the unusually passive Iggy (apparently tied to his chair). And it really works. There is a powerful chemistry between them, and exciting degree of intimacy.It's all managed with a very little in front of the camera apart from the performers themselves. Calabrese's use of the camera and lenses, together with the rhythmic edit, ramps up the atmosphere to memorable effect. If you watch one version of the God's Lonely Man video, it should be this one.

Riccardo Salvi directs a bold, suggestive promo with a heart of gold for Italian duo Ditonellapiaga & Donatella Rettore."The song is about sex, and the artist requests were very clear - fun, provocative and with 70's styling," says Salvi about the video for Chimica. And he has more than hit the brief on this one. Celebrating body positivity and breaking the stereotypes of how sex is usually portrayed on-screen, we see a cast of varying ages and shapes get into some wild positions, show of their assets and jiggle and bounce the day away. Some clever art direction elevates the racy vibes of the visual, and the vintage styling and decor adds a certain eccentricity to the whole concept.

video Breakbot 'My Toy' by AB/CD/CD

Directing team AB/CD/CD have created a superbly entertaining video for French producer Breakbot's My Toy - featuring British DJ & vocalist Yasmin - which gives the classic Hollywood musical production number a sexy, Gallic-flavoured modern twist. The toy in question is a boy robot without a face, brought to life by a bevy of girl designers and engineers - and whisked off in an animatronic seat - shaped like a female breast. Thus the sexy retro-futurist tone is set for the rest of the video, with our awestruck robot protagonist observing a parade of attractive women as they perform an elaborate choreography including seductive cat costumes as well as aerobics and cheerleading routines.The engineers back at the lab eventually decide upon a face which reflects his state of overwhelmed excitement. But having been primed for love with one partner, will true love prevail? Our will our boy robot be a little too human?

video FineArt feat. Rachel K Collier 'Don't Wanna Rush' by Ish Sahotay

Ish Sahotay's video for FineArt brings the club to spin class for their 2-step banger Don’t Wanna Rush. It's essentially a modern reworking of the famous/infamous Eric Prydz video for Call On Me, with an all-girl class of professional dancers.Very sadly, Ish Sahotay's life was cut short soon after shooting this video. The 26 year old had directed several low budget videos, and was just starting to make a serious impact as a director, particularly with his Little Boots video for Taste It - now shortlisted for Best Dance Video - Budget category at the UK Music Video Awards next month - when he passed away in June.To celebrate his life, his friend Jake Bulstrode-White created a Go Fund Me campaign to put on an Exhibition of all his work, which took place on the 17th July at the Apiary Studios. On the page, Bulstrode-White said this of his friend: "Ish Sahotay was a 26 year old up and coming Director/Photographer. After 4 years of working his way up through the industry his career had finally started to flourish, there seemed to be no end to his success."Tragically on the 16th June 2015 Ish went to bed and didn't wake up. He was full of so much talent and ideas, anyone that had the honour of meeting him will know how much of a loss to the world his passing was."

Oh, dang... Dano Cerny has turned the heat way up in this video for Swedish pop artist Erik Hassle's Natural Born Lover, providing plentiful eye-candy for the boys as well as girls. It features sensual scenes of couples in their respective motel rooms, with some impressive, lustful neon-lighting that really sets the mood. Needless to say perhaps, the 80's, Drive-inspired lighting design is all the rage right now, with recent videos for Hot Chip's Started Right and Cash + David's Pains 4 U employing similar setups to create those decadent, night-time vibes.
