A robot revolts against his mundane restaurant duties - but in a good way - in Dan French's charmer for Barry Can't Swim, the Scottish DJ/producer's first official music video.

Set to the euphoric pulse of Dance Dance Dance - and shot across London on analogue media, often on CCTV type cameras - the video follows a real-life humanoid robot caught in the monotony of its daily routine. Designed to be productive and obedient, it proves to be a disappointment to its human owner in that regard, as it soon becomes distracted by its new passion: dancing.

The engaging and playful story reflects Barry Can’t Swim’s uplifting sounds, pairing the energy of the music with a character discovering joy beyond its programming. And it all works well, thanks to the winning quality of the central character - robot or not, you'll soon be rooting for him - the fast-paced story, and editing, also by Dan French.
