INNELLEA 'Slave To The Hype' by Marco Fumolo
Rob Ulitski - 11th May 2026
Marco Fumolo directs a standout promo for INNELLEA's Slave To The Hype, which starts with the German techno DJ/producer getting some startling news from his manager.Â
The message from the management - he's no longer cool and needs to prove his worth - turns into a Mission Impossible-style delivery of fairly reasonable instructions.Â
After getting a bleached buzzcut and some sharper clothes, he embarks on a journey of cheesy Dad dancing, wearing 90s heely shoes and driving a sensible car very slowly with the doors open. The real MI-style task come at the end: DJing without using the sync button. Can INNELLEA do it?Â
It's a tongue-in-cheek concept perfectly executed by the creative team. From the chromatic, silver-hued cinematography to an overall willingness to experiment and play, it feels incredibly fresh whilst rooted in universal nostalgia.Â
