Joshua Kissi directs a breezy combination of performance with heartwarming vignettes for singer and rapper MoRuf's collab with SZA.

The video for PT Cruiser is inspired by the nostalgic sensibilities of the iconic retro-inspired Chrysler, playing out in a laidback suburban concept, celebrating love, friendship and family. 

“The PT Cruiser has always felt like more than a car to me," says Joshua Kissi. "It’s a time capsule that holds the spirit of moments past, present, and what’s still to come. It represents a certain kind of suburban dream that shaped who we are and how we see the world.

"Each vignette in this film ties back to that feeling, the warmth of nostalgia, the small pieces of our past that still live within us today."

Boasting a heightened, even dreamlike aesthetic, the video balances style and substance, with brilliant performances from the artists and featured actors alike. 

"Working with MoRuf over the years has been a meticulous journey of shaping his visual language around memory, community, and truth," Kissi continues. "His friendship with SZA, rooted in their shared history and growth, gave this song and film an even deeper resonance.
