The Wanted 'Rule The World' by Blake Claridge
Rob Ulitski - 21st Oct 2021
2010's boyband The Wanted are back, with an emotional promo from director Blake Claridge.
Shot on Osea island, we see each of the artists attached to a parachute, having just landed in the idyllic location. They are guided towards each other by a mysterious woman, before reacquainting just in time for a mesmerising fireworks display.
Talking about the project, Claridge says, "Shooting on an island in Essex in September wasn’t ideal but we certainly lucked out with the weather, which played in our favour of making the boys look great. Being part of creating a comeback video for where they are right now was wonderful to be a part of."
Paying homage to their upbeat, glossy videos of yesteryear, Claridge has captured the energy of the band perfectly, blending the nostalgia of their original work with a more mature sensibility.
