Samuel Bradley directs a enigmatic promo for The 1975, with creative direction by Patricia Villirillo, taking inspiration from cinema's greats - from Ingmar Bergman to Anton Corbijn.The first release from new album&nbsp;Being Funny In A Foreign Language, the video presents an ambiguous black and white concept,&nbsp;with giant balloons, teenage violinists and a whole host of eccentric characters.&nbsp;Shot on film, the abstract vignettes feel vintage and experimental, and the cinematography acts as the glue that binds the divergent ideas together.&nbsp;The beauty of videos like this is the search for meaning and understanding, and the different interpretations each viewer will make, but one thing's for sure - it's great to have the group back.&nbsp;

The latest episode in Greg Barth's ongoing collaboration with Easy Life is the&nbsp;whimsical video for Have A Great Day - and takes us back to the summertime and the English seaside.This one was inspired by the photography of Martin Parr, and shot on a windy day in Broadstairs, it transforms&nbsp;a typical British day at the beach into a slightly surreal experience.&nbsp;The video experiments with cyclical camera movements and a postcard gag,&nbsp;resetting the scene after each cycle. The characters get progressively messier - both in the literal and figurative meaning of the word - as they throw ice creams, start play-fighting and falling over themselves.&nbsp;The inspired blend of visual effects and live action creates a mesmerising aesthetic. Playful, characterful, and on the verge of chaotic - just like a day at the seaside. And its very Easy Life.&nbsp;

Greg Barth's latest collaboration with Leicester indie-R&amp;Bers Easy Life takes its cue from their excellent previous work - and one video in particular - and the cover of their just-released debut album&nbsp;Life's A Beach.As always frontman Murray Matravers takes centre stage, in a fantastical scenario where his bandmates paly supporting roles - both to Murray and his giant goldfish friend.&nbsp;As Greg explains below, its a surreal sequel of sorts to the animated <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Db_Gf9z8jk" target="_blank">Message To Myself</a> video. It's also the latest in an extensive body of Easy Life work over the past couple of years by the Swiss-born and London-based director, from the video for <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dQnXExTp2w" target="_blank">Nightmares</a> (featuring Jamie Demetriou of Stath Lets Flats) to the recent Gondryesque <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87U_l3AvyX0" target="_blank">Skeletons</a>. Greg Barth explores the irony of growing up in the modern world, in his&nbsp;spectacular video for Purple Disco Machine's Fireworks.&nbsp;Depicted as a dance battle between Gen Z and a group of Boomers, the video alludes to many crises that face the human race today; climate change, the use of fossil fuels and overconsumption&nbsp;being just a few examples.&nbsp;And whilst the Gen Z pack start off with their own minds, fighting against these injustices, they are soon twisted and distorted into an older way of thinking - leaving a planet in the midst of destruction, exploding and crumbling as the glossy dance number comes to its crescendo.&nbsp;Thought-provoking work with an accessible and unique twist.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;

TAWBOX, creative directors behind Stormzy’s 2019 Glastonbury headline set and Dave’s 2020 BRITs performance, directed Pa Salieu's first US TV appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon - a one-shot performance that recreates the rapper's Send Them To Coventry&nbsp;album cover.It's a fusion of The Gambia meets Coventry, as Pa Salieu travels through a Gambian shop and is then joined by his Coventry friends. Inspired by Gambian culture, TAWBOX included a Kankurang dancer within the performance. A large-scale lighting set up and a live band was used during the performance to showcase Pa Salieu as one of music’s leading artists."Production wise it was all about getting a dream team together to pull it off and with Alex Jamin behind the lens we went for it," explain TAWBOX. "With numerous lighting states and sets (designed by Sarah Asmail) we needed a monumental lighting plan and roped in Elliot Beach to pull it off in one long day."Funnily enough Sarah Asmail had worked on Pa Salieu's album cover and it was just by sheer coincidence that producer Ghandi El-Chamaa got in touch with her for the performance, having seen her other sets and been keen to get a working relationship going."Seb Joly on the Trinity is also worthy of a mention having had to enter through a car window with his rig and under 1cm clearance 24 times - he didn't bump it on any recorded takes!"
