Jeremi Durand wraps up his trilogy of videos for&nbsp;Yodelice, with this stirring promo for The Light Of My Hands.&nbsp;Exploring themes of life, death and reincarnation, the third and final chapter of the project dramatises a birth that takes place in extraordinary circumstances. A&nbsp;female couple are in a forest when the pregnant member goes into labour and an emergency delivery takes place right there, in the midst of nature.[imgtoken data:1]This follows the second video for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2022/11/30/yodelice-trust-fall-jeremi-durand/79516" target="_blank">Trust Fall</a> - which shows an interpretation of what could be death and reincarnation - and celebrates the&nbsp;the most incredible act of them all: birth. In The Light Of My Hands, the result is a baby being born who wears&nbsp;a subtle mark on his left cheek, like the main characters in the other chapters.&nbsp;&nbsp;Released on International Women’s Day - March 8th, 2023 - this is an ode to beauty, to nature and to humanity in general, with an intensity as well as uplifting quality that comes from terrific performances from&nbsp;Camelia Lumbroso and Nina Aboutajedyne, allied with luminous cinematography by David Wright.&nbsp;

A man has some painful memories reconfigured in Elliot Simpson's promo for Joel Corry and Becky Hills.&nbsp;In the same faux-utopic vein as previous&nbsp;collabs <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2021/11/11/joel-corry-ft-mabel-i-wish-elliot-simpson/73789">I Wish&nbsp;</a>and <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2021/03/11/joel-corry-x-raye-x-david-guetta-bed-elliot-simpson/69885">Bed</a>, the sci-fi concept in History proposes a world in which memories can be altered and 'put right', via a personal home visit from Joel,&nbsp;Becky and their futuristic arsenal of gadgets.&nbsp;The narrative perfectly blends the borders of surrealism and reality, and gives the artists a chance to flex their acting muscles in addition to some very filmic performance setups.&nbsp;Seamless and slick, the video is equal parts Black Mirror and pop promo, and is a real visual treat.&nbsp;

Jordan Rossi takes Craig David into a colourful surrealist adventure for his video for&nbsp;My Heart's Been Waiting For You.Craig performs this garage-influenced club hit in a serious of increasingly surreal settings, with outer space encroaching into modern-day London. And periodically everything then suddenly ramps up into another dazzling visual dimension.[imgtoken data:1]"The brief was wide open," explains Rossi.&nbsp;"All that was stated was they wanted a green screen video that had the vibe of Craig's tour footage. I took that and ran with it, and wanted to craft a luminous surrealist fantasy that was equal parts Dali with Craig's R&amp;B-pop aesthetic."Craig was the best collaborator a director could ask for. Hugely respectful of the art but always wanted to push the boundaries creatively. It meant that what was a green screen video became a smash of reality and illusion in the most entrancing of ways. The final result is a fantasia of colour and other worldly scenarios. All seemingly familiar but with a twist."

Sam Bailey returns to music videos&nbsp;with this joyful love letter to the Golden Age of film musicals, in his new promo for Metronomy.&nbsp;The band are seen adorned in giant flower headpieces, playing their song Love Factory, while being led by a conductor, and&nbsp;as a vivacious dancer, Majella Fitzgerald,&nbsp;takes centre stage.&nbsp;Majella is the busy Bee, who picks out each Metronomy 'flower', one by one, to 'pollinate' them. And this happens in a splendidly suggestive representation of Nature - choreographed by Supple Nam.&nbsp;From there, the concept launches into full, Golden Age musical mode, as the Bee interacts with each flower, around the stately house that provides the venue of the video, viewing each member through her trippy, multi-imaged 'bee vision.'&nbsp;It's an extremely skilled display of lightly frothy entertainment, that is also clever and subtly alternative in its joie de vivre. In other words, it's&nbsp;very Metronomy.[imgtoken data:1]<blockquote>The initial idea came from watching bees hopping from bud to bud on a rosemary bush.</blockquote>"From start to finish this music video was huge lumps of fun to make," says Sam Bailey. "The initial idea came from watching bees hopping from bud to bud on a rosemary bush in my garden, indiscriminately having sweet little intimate interactions before moving onto the next one."The flowers became happy little dance partners to the bee as it moved around from station to station, as if on a factory floor. It married up perfectly with Joe's lyrics and the uplifting feel of the track's hazy tone. I was thrilled that the band went for it."Knowing that they often get really involved in the performance side I thought we should challenge them to learn some sweet moves from choreographer Supple Nam, who has a great history of bringing theatricality and levity to his dances. Just look at his work on the Miike Snow promo [for Genghis Khan] by Ninian Doff."Our performers, Majella Fitzgerald and Andrew Lyle-Pinnock [the conductor] come from big tap backgrounds. So we had a lot of fun playing with moves from musicals of 50s Hollywood (White Christmas, Singin’ In The Rain, Let’s Dance...) God, it’s joyful watching dancers move around, exploring ideas, paying homage to Vera Ellen and co. Especially when they’ve got big ol’ Hollywood smiles on. The genre calls for constant smiling, but if I could dance as effortlessly as them (and without wheezing) I’d be smiling too.[imgtoken data:2]<blockquote>We had a ball trying to emulate this era of filmmaking...&nbsp;hard lighting, bright colours and really bumpy camera movements.</blockquote>"All of us behind the camera had a ball trying to emulate this era of filmmaking too. DoP David Wright had all the good ideas on how to capture this. Hard lighting, bright colours and really bumpy camera movements. Apologies to our grip Anthony - I made him loosen up all the tracks every time he’d painstakingly smoothed everything out. I think it looks good though - if you watch some of the tracking shots in Singin’ In The Rain they feel like the camera is being driven round on an ASDA trolley.&nbsp;"The band were unexhaustible. 48 hours before shooting this they had spent a day flying in harnesses for the excellent Right On Time&nbsp;promo by Juliet Casella and Thibaut Ceasar. So they must be awarded with some sort of endurance award. Especially since they aren’t smokers and I had them vaping (nothing toxic) for the pollination shot plates.&nbsp;"I have nothing but thanks to them for trusting the idea and getting stuck in. Same goes for the rest of the team who worked very hard to get this all going six floors up in a central London building with an unapologetically small lift."

James Blunt ticks off a remarkable bucket-list of heart-pounding activities, without ever leaving the studio, in Moon's wonderfully silly video for Adrenaline.From skydiving to rollercoaster-riding to delivering a baby (and lots more besides), James is experiencing every possible adrenaline-rush, but its soon clear that he's been added to variety of stock footage scenarios. Sometimes its pretty seamless, other times definitely not so.It's daft and likeable, and excellent use of a green screen shoot. It's also a further demonstration of James Blunt's determination to not take himself too seriously, and it's&nbsp;sure to put a smile on your face.

Elliot Simpson joins forces with Joel Corry for another high concept affair, this time for I Wish, featuring Mabel.&nbsp;Inside a clandestine industrial building, a series of characters walk around with a digital timecode following them around, counting down second by second.The contestants perform tasks to boost their time left in this futuristic reality show, and if the clock is allowed to hit zero, they're out.&nbsp;The Netflix smash hit&nbsp;Squid Game definitely has inspired the concept, but Simpson has put his own spin on the dystopian reality genre, with a glossy aesthetic and brilliant performances from both artists - and a very absorbing narrative to boot.&nbsp;&nbsp;
