Videos Of The Month - May 2014
Our first monthly round-up is here, and it is a list of suitably awesome creativity, with some undoubted future award-winners.
And with the videos for Hercules & Love Affair, Arcade Fire and Sia, perhaps it's the work of a choreographer rather than a director that's the standout story of May 2014. Ryan Heffington choreographed all three of these videos, and particularly with Sia's Chandelier, has helped create one of the viral hits of the year so far.
Choreography is a more dominant force than ever in music videos as a whole, but this is an eclectic selection of last month's work, picked by the Promo team. Including the jawdropping stop-motion of Tobias Stretch's Christopher Bono video, the searing live performance by Savages captured by Giorgio Testi, the perceptive drama of Lucy Luscombe's Tiny Ruins video, and the incredible antics of Ukranian daredevil Mustang Wanted in Charlie Robins' video for Klangkarussell... Great stuff.
