Aidan Zamiri reunites with Yung Lean to take a ritualistic journey through the streets of Budapest, with Lean riding a truck carrying a coffin of himself, and very large speakers. Like Zamiri's previous Yung Lean video for Bliss, featuring FKA Twigs, the video for Forever Yung is all about an eventful journey, unhinged from straight reality, bordering on the chaotic. With less of the slick pop style of his celebrated videos for Charli xcx and Billie Eilish last year, it is still the distinctive work of the director while connecting Yung Lean with 'real people'. There's plenty to read in here, that may or may not be relevant - its shot in Hungary, cradle of European Trumpism. Yung at some point sports an Uncle Sam outfit. His truck passes crowds with messages on their T shirts, like I Hate Women. As with the Brat phenomenon last year, Zamiri is riding the zeitgeist again, this time with darker, 2025 stuff.
