Joel Barney directs a captivating video for Lana Lubany, filmed in Jordan.

The first of several visuals shot in the country, the video for Another Year sees Lana thrust into a perpetual, mesmerising fever dream. Navigating a kaleidoscope of surreal scenes scattered through the cityspace, we see the artist transported to a new realm.

With bold, vibrant cinematography and dreamy art direction, it's a beautiful piece and a perfect introduction to the London-based Palestinian American musician.

"The video aims to create a bold, captivating performance piece that subtly tells Lana's story through unique symbolism," Barney explains.

"Flowers are a recurring motif we decided to use pretty early on in the process, appearing in strange places within the rugged cityscape where they realistically could never grow. The idea being that is symbolizes that beauty will prevail in any circumstance."
