Matteo Bangrazi, Harriet Waghorn and Carmine De Amicis collaborate as directors for the video for Vincenzo Di Bella, aka Nzobella. The cinematic visual, shot in black and white, explores an unfolding narrative through choreography and interaction with the environment, featuring performances by Waghorn and De Amicis, with cinematography by Bangrazi.The push-and-pull nature of relationships is visualised through intense and distorted movements, whilst emotions are cleverly represented through the striking cinematography. DoP Matteo Bangrazi cleverly frames each of the vignettes within the confines of the space. In indoor scenes, the spatial balance is skewed with mirrors and off-kilter straight lines, whilst in the outdoor scenes, the shots are much wider and free. These techniques echo the themes of the concept, not wanting to hurt anyone by leaving, but being unable to resist the desire to change and explore something new.

Callum Lloyd-James explores the struggle of young love in his visual for Oscar Lang's Easy To Love. The concept focuses on a doomed-to-fail relationship which shows us that, even when things don’t work out, there is still meaning in the journey.With one location, one table and two actors, the straightforward video switches up the pace through clever transitions and an energetic performance from Lang as he sits in the corner of the café. With some strong End of The F**king World vibes, a healthy dose of charm and plenty of milkshake to wash it all down - the climax of this two-hander is very enjoyable - Lloyd-James pulls off a great little promo, matched by great performances from his cast, Tom Maclean and Asher Luis.

Gregg Houston and James Smith return with a third live collaboration, this time for an acoustic version of the wistful track Say You'll Stay.

A young boy has a childhood crush that never stops growing in Adrien Boublil's video for Maxime.The video for Is This Love? has a heartwarming and brilliantly simple storyline, focussing on a young boy and girl who reunite as adults and finally confess the feelings they had when they were younger. DoP Will Darosa utilises abundant daylight and handheld camera movement to create a bright and cheery aesthetic, which perfectly suits the uplifting track.

Charlie Lightening presents the second chapter in a series of videos for Louis Tomlinson, following a doomed love affair in Southend-on-Sea.The quietest member of One Direction takes a backseat in this narrative video, which reintroduces us to a bank thief and his partner. After meeting at Tomlinson’s gig in Kill My Mind, the two begin a passionate romance. But struggling to balance his personal and professional lives, the young criminal finds himself at a crossroads.The video features some impressively verdant anamorphic photography by the director, who has also shot projects with Liam Gallagher.

Kevin Phillips introduces us to another generation of the Sparks family, in Part IV of his transcendent family tragedy.Earlier this year, Phillips and The Lumineers began an ambitious visual album: a 10 part drama following three generations of an American family. In a whirlwind trilogy of videos, we met Gloria Sparks, a reckless alcoholic and reluctant matriarch. The character was inspired by a family member of frontman Wesley Schultz, and brought to life in furious glory by Anna Cordell. The trilogy was grand, wittily experimental, and quietly (but often loudly!) devastating.In It Wasn’t Easy To Be Happy For You, we meet her teenage grandson, Junior Sparks. And he meets a girl. Or does he? In a remote field, he shares a joint with a beautiful stranger and gets in his car with her. The temperature rises a little too quickly. And as she walks away into the middle-of-nowhere, removing her vest, we see a strange symmetry between this stranger and Junior’s grandmother.The youngest member of the Sparks clan is a curious character, portrayed with bumbling, Chaplin-esque discomfort by Charlie Tahn. He will make two more appearances in Leader Of The Landslide and Left For Denver, released later this month.Phillips and The Lumineers set themselves an formidable task with the Sparks story. And thank god they did. A project of this size and ambition could have lost steam very quickly. But there hasn’t been a dud in the bunch. Both the band and director continue to innovate their respective forms, and in the process, surprise and delight.

Steven Briand's short music video captures the earth-shattering intensity of a first kiss, when time stops and the world disappears.As lovers embrace on a bridge, the world falls away, and the two are alone in the clouds. A single breath in time, Plume is almost a promo-lite - one idea expressed neatly and dynamically, like a painting that drifts away from you. Briand is Partizan's resident VFX/stop-motion whizz in Paris, and his choices give this video a gentle weightlessness that transcends its stone inspiration, Rodin's sculpture Le Baiser.
