Mo Kanaan directs a cinematic journey into myth and emotion in his promo for Beijing-born singer Yify Zhang. 

The video for One Thousand Years is the second in a two-part visual and musical saga that began with Forest Opening, following two lovers across lifetimes, caught in the invisible threads of a connection forged by betrayal and a curse.

Thousands of years after their first heartbreak, the lovers find themselves in the same city yet living separate, disconnected lives.

It's a vibrant, primary colour-hued trip through lingering memories, alternate timelines and ethereal atmosphere, and is absorbing from start to end. Impressive work.
