Sir Lord Comixx 'High Society' by Andreaa Archive & Richard Thomas
Rob Ulitski - 14th Apr 2026
The first of two connecting music videos for London-based techno house producer Sir Lord Comixx (aka Commix), directed by Andreea Archive and Richard Thomas, which stems from the idea of society, time and space - inspired by notes and writings regarding social class by Aldous Huxley.  Â
The video for High Society follows the artist on a journey across the city, captured in lingering, portraiture-style shots, accompanied by a female stranger. Their world is seen through a series of Soviet-style montages which switch between Docklands Light Railway, the London City and the newly-built Lewisham Gateway.
Archive and Thomas synergise the black and white aesthetic of Jean-Luc Godard signifying signature and the colour red and blue throughout the video. And it features Babel, an installation by the artist Cildo Meireles at the Tate Modern, comprising hundreds of radios each tuned to a different station - relating to the biblical story of the Tower of Babel, a tower tall enough to reach the heavens.
