Chris Martin and Selena Gomez are worlds apart in this evocative promo for Let Somebody Go, directed by Dave Meyers. 

We see the artists in a distorted New York cityscape, surrounded by an environment that steadily contorts into a surrealist dreamworld. 

Building upon themes of loss and moving on, we see Martin and Gomez tread the same path in seemingly parallel worlds, coming together for a short moment in a freefall, before parting again at the resolution of the video. 

The distinctive black and white style achieves a balance of French New Wave-era aesthetics and a dizzying display of visual effects prowess, resulting in a visual that is powerful and timeless.
