Rob Ulitski - 22nd July 2021

Walid Labri pays homage to Cityboymoe's home in North West London, and the turbulence of growing up there, in his video for City On Fire.

Opening in a residential street, overshadowed by the imposing skyline in the background, the video interweaves several refreshingly creative vignettes, touching upon life, struggle and purpose.

Building upon the lyrics "these streets that I walk in were never made for me", the soft, ethereal aesthetic is somewhat contrasted by the poignant lyrics, yet feels optimistic in its overtones and is a perfect showcase for the artist and his journey.
