Director Lx blurs the line between VR and real life in his enigmatic video for Ill Blu's Dumpa.

Utilising blueprints and wireframe visual effects, the video game aesthetic is drenched in future-tech elements, including holograms, HUDs (heads-up displays) and sprawling cityscapes.

Shot under special restrictions due to lockdown, the video is barely hampered by the limitations. Dir. Lx does what he does best, making artists look like stars no matter the location, budget or restriction. With a retro-futuristic, almost anachronistic vibe, the style is curiously 90's/00's, a version of the distant future imagined back in those times, which makes it even more standout.

The cinematic visual is matched by high-energy performances from each artist, captured in style by DoP JP Garcia, whose perpetual moving camera breaks out of the single shot/ static camera mould the last few months have been tied to.
