Tom Misch and Yussef Dayes return with Lift Off, a song that infuses jazz and funk through modern sensibilities, complete with a lovely video from Douglas Bernardt documenting their live performance of the track with Rocco Palladino, shot on 16mm film in Kiev.

DoP Adolpho Veloso utilises drawn-out Steadicam shots, which float through the warmly-lit studio as an orange sun orbits the artists on a track. In the background, a couple are performing choreography as the guitar and bass lines crescendo to an addicting groove.

It's a simple and clear concept, and Bernardt finds the magic within the hypnotic performances.
