Lewis Capaldi continues his comeback with a heartfelt live performance of Something In The Heavens directed by Huse Monfaradi.Set in in the iconic Abbey Road Studio 2, Lewis contemplates love and loss with his signature passionate style, and Monfaradi's own return to music videos is all about the authenticity of the moment, and highlighting that the singer-songwriter is currently in fine form.Captured in a single Steadicam shot, it begins with Lewis entering the studio and immediately getting down to business with his musicians. Gregg Houston captures a great live performance by two modern icons, Mark Ronson and RAYE at Church Studios - something that he achieved on a very tight turnaround."Commissioned late on a Friday and a pre-light required on the Monday things were super-tight on this one," he confirms. "Adding to the limitations was the fact that RAYE and her band were rehearsing for Glastonbury all day on the shoot day. This meant that we had to prelight Church Studios on the Monday and leave all cameras in position."The band would come in Tuesday and rehearse their set all day, Mark Ronson would join them for an hour and then we would be allowed back into the space to capture a performance. We had to prep for one take and work out how you shoot 13 people with 5 cameras in one take and get something that feels whole. A big beautiful stress that culminated in a truly magic performance."

Norwegian director Thor Brenne returns to music projects with a captivating hybrid - part live video, part mini-doc - for his compatriots nonne. The film kicks off with the two bandmembers announcing they've been busy creating a lot of new music and are ready to play more live shows. A Table of Contents then tells the viewer what to expect next before jumping into live show excerpts presenting three of the duo's songs - when the band played at industry festival Northern Expo last year - but these abruptly interrupted by off-screen interview segments.Brenne is inventive in how cuts between live performance and the interviews throughout the film. For example, while Nonne explain the band name, the video shifts away from the live segments to show the band in a rehearsal environment and what appears to be a photoshoot, before jumping back into the live setting again.The unconventional approach suits both the music and the band's aesthetic - even if the abrupt interruptions of the songs might just make some record executives shake their heads. In fact, the execution and editing of a well-crafted concept makes this highly entertaining and engaging.
