Omar Apollo delivers a warm performance of his new album God Said No, directed by David Heofs.The live performance takes place on a massive white couch, where the artist is surrounded by various musicians, alongside some of his closest friends and collaborators. It's a striking visual, with people spread out across the space, layers of white on white. It's almost dreamlike in its presentation, a relaxed kind of chaos, which makes for a completely engaging visual. Apollo is charismatic as ever, and his faultless performance is the star of the show. And it's a delightful follow-up to the Heofs-directed video for Spite.

Thomas Davis directs a brilliant live multicam promo for a rare live performance in London by Eminem and Dr Dre.Davis and the team at Common People Films did not have much time to pull this one off. They had eight hours notice. But they certainly have done a great job, capturing the performance of the classic Forgot About Dre - and more tracks from a concert which also featured Snoop Dogg - in mesmerizingly visceral fashion. "This truly was a once in a lifetime moment for me and CMN PPL," says Davis. "To witness three GOATS of hip hop play a show after 30 years was something I could only dream of. Experiencing Dre, Snoop and Eminem perform live, playing every one of their classic tracks was mindblowing and quite overwhelming in all honesty."We were utterly speechless when the call came in. My jaw literally hit the floor. This had to be epic so I wanted the best DP’s & cam-ops we could pull together with eight hours notice. I wanted this to feel cinematic and not like your typical live capture so we chose Alexas, the best glass and had focus pullers on each camera."You only get 'one shot' to get this right. Overall I’m really happy with the result and have loved the reactions online and from our peers."The HUGEST of thanks to Ali and Emily from Polydor for bringing us on. Rhory Danniells and the band's vocalist Clari Freeman-Taylor direct an eerie live promo for up and coming alt-rock trio Mary In The Junkyard. Following the imaginative lo-fi promo for Ghost - also co-directed by Danniells and Freeman-Taylor - the video for Marble Arch sees the group perform in a pitch black basement, captured in night vision in a continuous handheld one-shot. It's an arresting visual, evoking horror films such as Rec. It's also a fun spin on the live video format and a testament to the creativity of the director and band. Don't be afraid of the dark - unless you come across this lot playing in your basement!

LOOSE & UNCANNY join forces to direct this dazzling visual for Fred Again.., Lil Yachty & Overmono - filmed prior to an epic rave at Knockdown Center in New York City. The video for Stayinit has a remarkably simple yet hooky concept - to show Lil Yachty's reaction to hearing the song on a proper sound system for the first time, hours before the event at Knockdown, on February 8th 2024.Of course, given the scale of the venue and the coruscating light show beaming above his head, it soon turns into a captivating display of the relationship between the music and the environment. “As soon as LOOSE talked to me about the idea of making this video together, I knew that it had to be shot on film - it just made sense," says George Muncey of UNCANNY. "I think everyone was particularly blown away with how the film’s latitude handled the intentional overexposure of the lights. I kept bringing up a reference from Oppenheimer in pre-production where they utilise a similar technique, and I’m really stoked with how it ended up coming across, with Yachty being completely swallowed up and enveloped by the lights."Mika [Altskan], the incredible DP, instilled so much confidence for the boundaries of how far we could push the film to it’s limits, and I have endless gratitude for him and how beautiful he made the video.”
