Jack Savoretti ft Mika 'Youth & Love' by Tom Rainsford
Tom Rainsford celebrates Youth & Love in his new video for Jack Savoretti featuring Mika, with the help of 77 year old veteran actor David Bradley.
Bradley, known for his roles in the Harry Potter films and Game of Thrones, does a complete 180 (sometimes literally) in his embodiment of an aging man reflecting on the past. And in total contrast to the characters he usually plays, Bradley is fun, charming, even a little cheeky as he dances around an empty café.
It is a very simple concept, executed perfectly. Rainsford has created a unexpected and unique visual for the summer-soaked track.
Without a doubt, David deserves the title of Legend.
"I wanted to create something that fitted the track, and I wanted to create something that was full of life and joy but also took a moment to be reflective. We frequently get to see brilliant younger dancers and this was a great opportunity to do something different with an older person. And still, deliver all the energy and passion you come to expect from a music promo.
"David Bradley is a complete star. It was a pleasure to work with him in a role that is so different from how you usually see him. It was vital that David put his own spin and spirit on the choreography, which he did and at 77 he danced all day without putting a foot wrong. Without a doubt, he deserves the title of Legend."
