Chromeo 'Juice' by David Wilson
David Knight - 9th Nov 2017
David Wilson returns to music vids with the new Chromeo video, and heading for the orange groves of verdant California, in the process makes probably the best ad in the world ever for freshly squeezed OJ.
And, along the way, keying into the 'leg' iconography that's distinguished several of their album covers (and keyboard stands), Wilson reveals that Dave-1 and P-Thugg have by far the shapeliest, and best-waxed-and-heeled legs of all the male electro-pop duos.
Yes, those incredible pins are their real legs...
DAVID WILSON:
“Having had a long-standing love affair with imagery of men in heels, Chromeo’s new aesthetic made my heart sing. The key for me was embracing the heels look with the narrative of Dave and P travelling to find the perfect orange juice,”
“We were able to capture this with a high-gloss, European glamour look created by cinematographer Simon Chaudoir: the perfect man for the job. It was quite the task to achieve this piece in one California day’s worth of sunlight, but we got there with a big dose of fabulousness."
