Sometimes its hard to get past the cheeky all-conquering chap that he presents in the videos directed by Vaughan Arnell, but Robbie Williams projects a quite different personality in the video for Mixed Signals - which also marks Nice & Polite's CEO Ross Anderson's directing debut.

Told mostly from the POV perspective of a girl on a wild night out with her girlfriends, Robbie is left on the end of the phone, frustrated and angry that she's not responding to his texts and calls - and that's after saying she was enjoying a quiet night in...

Utilizing live action, VFX and animation to tell the story, the video also comes with two alternate endings - one featuring Robbie's wife Ayda Field, and the other featuring old Take That bandmate Gary Barlow – to keep you guessing about whether this young lady is worthy of Robbie's affections, or a bit of a wrong 'un. And that makes for an notable first dip into directing by Ross Anderson.
