British alternative rock band Bear's Den have released this tongue-in-cheek but strangely gripping video for Dew On The Vine directed by Louis Bhose, set around a high stakes, closed doors ping-pong tournament.

Each cast member is played by one of the band, crew or their friends, and shows a light-hearted side to Bear's Den that fans may not have seen before. There's more egregious overacting here than in a Hollywood sports film, or anything featuring Nicolas Cage. And if the long cross-fades and solemn gazes weren't enough, the final faceoff between the bearded underdog and unlikable office jerk even includes a dramatic, wrist-sprain cliffhanger.

But the ending? Oh, come on!
