Adele 'When We Were Young (live at The Church)' by Paul Dugdale
Cat Velez - 18th Nov 2015
Another powerful ballad from your favourite British soul singer, builds even more anticipation for her upcoming album 25.
Unlike the video that heralded Adele's return for Hello, this is a live session – a pared-down performance by the singer of her new track When We Were Young at The Church studios, captured by liver performance director par excellence Paul Dugdale - who won the Live Coverage MVA at the UK Music Video Awards 2015 earlier this month.
PAUL DUGDALE:
"We wanted to make something that felt as though you were peering behind a curtain at something special. We wanted to bring a level of normality to what has been the biggest musical return this year, and the resulting sessions, from which this clip is taken, feel very real and honest.
"Without the distraction or artifice of something that is overly stylised or over cut we hoped to place the music and Adele’s incredible performance right at the forefront of the piece."
