A factory nightwatchman rebels against the boredom of his job, in&nbsp;Bruno Chiecco's compelling&nbsp;dance-based film for London jazz-pop quintet Hydreamia.&nbsp;Beautifully shot on 16mm by DoP&nbsp;Thomas Terminet, Chiecco captures dancer Edd Arnold&nbsp;as he moves fluidly through a deserted factory, finding expression to counter his misery through&nbsp;a vivacious dance routine choreographed by&nbsp;Jakub Franasowicz.&nbsp;&nbsp;"Catch 22 is about the hardness and tediousness of the rat race and how people might rebel against it in their own little beautiful ways," explains Chiecco."Conceptually, shooting on 16mm film was a no brainer. Not only it has this special connection with the 'tangible' through its own physicality, therefore connecting to the realistic aspect of the rat race, but at the same time, it creates stunning images, in turn representing the character’s inner state."[imgtoken data:1]

Tom Patrick Coley helms an intense comedy-horror&nbsp;for London-based Texan songwriter Anna Roenigk - aka Born Again Virgin - set at an awards ceremony for a salespeople of a pyramid scheme&nbsp;in the mid-Nineties, where things take a dark turn indeed.&nbsp;&nbsp;In the video for Bird of Prey,&nbsp;Roenigk plays a charismatic yet obnoxious host, presenting the awards to a pool of overenthusiastic salespeople. With a mixed media approach, blending cinematic footage with&nbsp;lo-fi VHS segments, the video is a&nbsp;riotous and melodramatic affair, cutting between the narrative and the artist's performance of the track.And it all culminates in a satisfyingly bloody climax, when the&nbsp;prizewinner (played by Sarah Tiplady) lets emotions get the better of her...[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;[imgtoken data:2]&nbsp;

Eyelar is stuck in a loop of jealous comparison, in Thomas Davis' fantastic&nbsp;promo for Obsessed With Your Ex.&nbsp;In a handful of slick yet grimy vignettes, we see Eyelar stalking her boyfriend's ex over the internet, in her imagination and in a hauntingly surreal support group setting.&nbsp;Injected with Davis' keen eye for edgy pop aesthetics, the video is a rip-roaring good time with a brilliant central performance and a captivating dreamworld environment... and the ending will leave viewers questioning just how far Eyelar will go to keep her boyfriend's eyes solely on her.[imgtoken data:1]

Jessica Anne Woodley directs a high-energy promo for singer-songwriter Connie Constance.We're introduced to the artist as she coasts down a country lane, banging the dashboard in an excitable display of vigour, before she climbs out of the driverless vehicle and performs in the truckbed.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;From there, she follows a mystical light through a forest, lets her inner warrior out and fights off two enigmatic characters with impressive martial arts skills.&nbsp;It's a lot to pack into one&nbsp;concept - especially given the short runtime - but Woodley manages to do so in an effortlessly skilful way.&nbsp;

What could be more horrific than human pubic hair that comes to life and then wants to exact revenge upon its owner?Actually this wiry little ball could hardly be cuter. Christopher&nbsp;Watson-Wood and his team at Mad Ruffian have somehow managed to turn something that normally clogs up your drainpipe into a lovable, lonely hero, in this latest video for Anglo-Swedish indie outfit Francobollo. And that&#39;s despite the fact that his CGI creation is irrationally&nbsp;jealous and&nbsp;possessive towards its former owner, and sets about attempting to sabotage her hot date.It&#39;s an interesting, fun take on the Freudian Oedipus complex, and with a horror-tinged ending that matches up with the personality of the band - and perfectly timed for Halloween.

Not easy to switch between the present and past in a one-take video - and incorporate a storming band&nbsp;performance to boot.&nbsp;But&nbsp;James Slater has managed it&nbsp;here, where we join&nbsp;Clean Cut Kid playing We Used To Be In Love in a pub, watched by a couple who look like they are on the brink of a breakup.As the camera moves around the room, &#39;doubles&#39; of the couple start appearing, reflecting their&nbsp;happier times together. It&#39;s an entertaining and adroit treatment of the theme of the song.
