Samuel Bradley teams up with The 1975 for I'm In Love With You, the third video of the campaign for upcoming album Being Funny In A&nbsp;Foreign Language, created by Bradley, creative director/stylist&nbsp;Patricia Villirillo and 1975 frontman Matty Healy.&nbsp;In keeping with the previous two videos for&nbsp;the campaign, the promo is shot on 16mm film, and as with <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2022/07/12/1975-part-band-samuel-bradley/77293" target="_blank">Part Of The Band</a> establishes an attractively vintage black and white aesthetic. But this one, written by Healy, also acts as a sequel of sorts&nbsp;to&nbsp;one of the band's most memorable videos - and one of Healy's most memorable performances as a Chaplin-esque circus clown -&nbsp;in&nbsp;<a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2016/04/25/1975-change-heart-tim-mattia/40941" target="_blank">A Change Of Heart</a>, released back in 2016.[imgtoken data:1]Acting as a nod to the past -&nbsp;whilst reflecting on where the band are now, six years on -&nbsp;it's a beautifully made visual. And there is also noteworthy performance from&nbsp;Katie Collins, reprising her hero role from the A Change Of Heart video, and who also choreographed the piece.The film features everything from dancing clowns - to a special guest appearance from Phoebe Bridgers.

Sarah Piantadosi directs an uninhibited&nbsp;retro-tinged performance promo for&nbsp;London-based Irish alternative artist and&nbsp;poet Sinead O'Brien.&nbsp;The video acts as a live showcase for O'Brien and her band, shining a spotlight on her unique performance style and live show.&nbsp;Piantadosi encourages a charismatic performance from O'Brien, with excellent work from DoP Sam Hooper as she stalks London's night-time streets.The bright highlights and gritty textures, and the enthusiastic coupling of the denizens of the nightclub where they are playing,&nbsp;hark back to videos of the 80s, and the entire concept has a very underground, almost Jarman-eque&nbsp;feel. High praise indeed.&nbsp;

Denisha Anderson's latest collaboration with Miles Romans-Hopcraft - aka Wu-Lu -features the multi-instrumentalist/producer and his bandmates exorcising their demons in the wide-open spaces of a sun-scorched landscape.Primal emotions are explored in this desert-like environment - actually a quarry in Suffolk - for the video for Blame, from the back of a drifting car and elsewhere. Ultimately, a white-pupilled version of Romans-Hopecraft is buried, neck deep in the rock, by the rest of the band.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]“It is about a breakdown in communication between my inner voice and my external voice and a situation that arose which led me to end a relationship”, explains Wu-Lu&nbsp;about the song, which is featured on the forthcoming debut album&nbsp;LOGGERHEAD, which is released in July.“For this video, I was inspired by the films Dogtooth and Paris, Texas," says Denisha Anderson about the video - her fourth for Wu-Lu.&nbsp;"I ran with buzzwords such as road-trip, disconnection, fear and goodbyes to the old self. These themes were used as a starting point for my vision after a long chat with Wu-Lu about where he was emotionally from writing the track."As the song is high energy throughout, I wanted to juxtapose this with stillness, slow movement and negative space. Through this, I aimed to build to the pace of the visual so the viewers are ultimately carried on a journey when watching.”

George Moir is the ice cream van man with his own weird, wonderful range of ice lollies, in George McCallum's video for Patio - arguably the staycation anthem of the summer.The&nbsp;West Country-based singer-songwriter's sweet,&nbsp;catchy song will ring true with nearly everyone this year - it's all about not being able to go on a foreign holiday, and having to make the best of it at&nbsp;home. Instead, its about working (mostly), and saving&nbsp;up 'to go next summer'.[imgtoken data:1]First-time director McCallum visualises this idea with inventiveness that owes something to his day job&nbsp;as an ad agency creative, and also to his&nbsp;'side-hustle' -&nbsp;as a baker of cakes disguised as very unlikely things - like a cigarette-filled ashtray.So Moir is not just a regular ice cream van guy, toiling through an English summer of variable weather - but also selling eccentric&nbsp;ices at odd prices, that are&nbsp;advertised on the side of the&nbsp;van, as you might expect, but&nbsp;which also come alive as animated characters throughout the video.&nbsp;And then, some are&nbsp;real - like a baked bean ice lolly, or one made out of loose change, or a diamond-studded ice cream.[imgtoken data:2]George Moir himself has a background as an animator, and this is his first video he has not directed himself. But McCallum has impressively built upon&nbsp;those previous DIY efforts, and allowed the singer's unassuming character to shine. And the attention to detail with the product range&nbsp;- designed by McCallum, animated by Jack Bailey - are&nbsp;the sprinkles and chocolate sauce on the 99.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Dumas Haddad celebrates Priya Ragu's vibrant take on her Sri Lankan heritage in this blazingly colourful&nbsp;video for Chicken Lemon Rice.Having worked with the singer on two other songs in a live session for the Live At The Archives series, Haddad - recently signed to FAMILIA for music videos - shot the official video for&nbsp;Chicken Lemon Rice in a beautifully dramatic and damaged house over in West London, close to where Priya was isolating during her stay in the UK before Christmas.&nbsp;With an emphasis on Priya's charismatic performance, supported by a glamourous cast of extras&nbsp;and a stunning take on South Asian fashion, Haddad delivers an exciting visual flavour to the singer's&nbsp;blend of East and West musical styles.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;FAMILIA head of music Ryan Morgan says the inspiration behind the aesthetic of the video came out of conversations between the Priya, Haddad, management, label commissioners Dom McKiernon and Lottie Llewellyn, and himself. "It was clear from the very beginning that Priya wanted to showcase her Sri Lankan heritage in the most organic way by introducing certain colour palettes, dance movements and art elements to accent the details of the vibrancy of Sri Lankan culture," he explains.[imgtoken data:1]"Dumas and Priya collaborated on boards with art director Jade Adeyemi and stylist Neesha Tulsi Champaneria to make sure we included authentic textures, fabrics and patterns throughout the set design and outfits for each character within the video."Dumas Haddad adds:&nbsp;“Collaborating with Priya and her team was beyond enriching, as we were able to shape our vision together to create a collective consciousness around the video."The song has a beautiful blend of styles and Priya’s heritage, so we were certainly keen to touch on these flavours on screen, in a unique and exciting blend. The ninth and final episode from the Gorillaz' Song Machine series, and arguably Jamie Hewlett and co-directors Tim MCourt and Max Taylor have saved the best to last.If finding Elton John in cartoon form in Episode 7 was a surprise - how about his namesake Leee getting top billing as an angry sea monster, laying waste to a precious piece of Gorillaz history?The video for The Lost Chord is undoubtedly the most spectacular of the nine videos for the Song Machine album, but it is also in keeping with the rest of the series, particularly in exploring the increasing vulnerability of the previously devilish Murdoc. He has definitely met his match here, with the former frontman of 80s pop-soul outfit Imagination playing a chained Neptune-like creature who invades the band's poignant return&nbsp;to a now-desolate Plastic Beach with a momentous temper tantrum.&nbsp;This has been a brilliant series. As a body of work its as as good as anything in the Gorillaz canon. It's a real achievement by a consistent team of animators who have worked throughout the series. And the comic genius of Jamie Hewlett is still a bit underrated.&nbsp;&nbsp;

If you need something uplifting right now,&nbsp;look no further. Paloma Faith and director David Wilson lament the gentrification of London in brilliantly feisty fashion,&nbsp;in the wonderful&nbsp;promo for Gold.&nbsp;Decked out in a trademark whimsical dress and radiating heaps of&nbsp;energy, Paloma skips and dances down an East London market and into a building site, dangling from an excavator, kicking down doors, and just having a riotous time with some of her fellow, equally colourful&nbsp;residents.&nbsp;Paloma is magnetic as always, the supporting cast - all dancers in the Theo Adams Company - are great too, and DoP&nbsp;David Foulkes matches her energy in sweeping crane shots and fluid camera movement. It all adds up to sheer entertainment. Absolutely marvellously fabulous.[imgtoken data:1]

Hector Dockrill and&nbsp;RUFFMERCY present a haunting visual for Ghetts' IC3, featuring Skepta.&nbsp;Dividing the workload on the enigmatic promo, Dockrill directed the live action footage, with RUFFMERCY creating and directing&nbsp;the&nbsp;overlaid animation. The resulting video is an exceptional piece of work,&nbsp;dark and minacious with an otherworldy, gritty aesthetic. The strobing textures and hyperactive scribble-style animation add a surreal vibe to the promo, and the frenetic camerawork builds upon this style.It's also a suitably strong addition to the current visual campaign around Ghetts' new&nbsp;releases&nbsp;in which RUFFMERCY has played a crucial role - including directing <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIhWBhf1lPY" target="_blank">the&nbsp;video for Mozambique</a>,&nbsp;nominated for the Best Animation award at this year's UKMVAs.&nbsp;
