Mark Van Heusden directs a dazzling promo for Netherlands-based group GUYY.&nbsp;Utilising a stills camera to capture the concept,&nbsp;Van Heusden has created an atmospheric, colourful montage of dreamy shots and intimate performance setups.&nbsp;"When I was asked to direct this video frontman/vocalist Duck wanted it to be dynamic, almost chaotic and to feature the band," Van Heusden explains. "This presented me with a slight problem because the band is based in The Netherlands and I have been living in the UK for over seven years."The options of bringing my trusted crew overseas, or prep everything online with a local crew I didn't know seemed very stressful. So I decided to approach this one differently and shoot it myself, using only a small stills camera. This allowed me to be mobile and adaptive to any situation. I also liked the idea of using still pictures instead of video because it fit well with the staccato synth beat that runs through the track."The end result is a love letter to what I miss about The Netherlands and shows what we do best; jumping on a bike and riding it through the rain."

A man's unruly hair derails his efforts to look presentable for a date, in&nbsp;Mark Van Heusden's hilarious promo for GUYY.&nbsp;We've all had bad hair days, where our locks just don't want to work with us, and risk destroying our entire look. The main character in the video for Insane has a particularly strenuous fight with his, until he finally resorts to drastic measures.&nbsp;Absorbing as it's funny, the video features a superb performance from actor Rory Nolan, and elevates a simple concept to something really engaging.[imgtoken data:1]"I loved the energy of this track and I immediately thought of someone dancing to the track, but I wanted something more to happen than just that," explains Mark Van Heusden."I think everyone has had days where your hair is just not doing what you want and you feel a bit insecure because of it. I recently committed to shaving my head and felt so good about it, that I decided to make that the central narrative of this video."

London-based singer-songwriter Wyldest - aka Zoë Mead - revisits old memories in Mark&nbsp;Van Heusden's promo for Abilene.&nbsp;The video starts with a young woman moving out of her flat, and then&nbsp;discovering an item in one of her boxes that leads her to reminisce about times with her best girlfriend. Cue some very well-observed and entertaining&nbsp;scenes of the pair hanging out together, back in the day, as two quite different characters develop a special bond.&nbsp;Instead of focusing on the sad aspects of what has been lost, the concept celebrates the enduring power&nbsp;of friendship. Nicely played by&nbsp;Izabella Maleska - in the Wyldest role - and&nbsp;Tutku Barbaros as her friend, Van Heusden&nbsp;also honours that important dramatic rule that opposites attract.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;"In the video I decided to focus on a memory of an old friend, but instead of making it sad I wanted it to be happy and even a bit silly," explains&nbsp;Van Heusden.&nbsp;"Whenever you come together with an old friend you always bring up the silly and funny memories that make you laugh and enjoy past times - and that is what this video portrays. Each memory is a little vignette with a fun twist hidden in it."&nbsp;&nbsp;
