Mark Van Heusden directs a dazzling promo for Netherlands-based group GUYY. 

Utilising a stills camera to capture the concept, Van Heusden has created an atmospheric, colourful montage of dreamy shots and intimate performance setups. 

"When I was asked to direct this video frontman/vocalist Duck wanted it to be dynamic, almost chaotic and to feature the band," Van Heusden explains. "This presented me with a slight problem because the band is based in The Netherlands and I have been living in the UK for over seven years.

"The options of bringing my trusted crew overseas, or prep everything online with a local crew I didn't know seemed very stressful. So I decided to approach this one differently and shoot it myself, using only a small stills camera. This allowed me to be mobile and adaptive to any situation. I also liked the idea of using still pictures instead of video because it fit well with the staccato synth beat that runs through the track.

"The end result is a love letter to what I miss about The Netherlands and shows what we do best; jumping on a bike and riding it through the rain."
