Wyldest 'Beggar' by Mark Van Heusden

A deserted South London plays host to Wyldest vocalist Zoe Mead's sleepwalking, in Mark Van Heusden's promo for Beggar.
The video stalks the artist as she stumbles around empty streets in the third lockdown, intercut with a stripped-back performance in her bed.
Mesmerisingly simple and effective, the video is a self-shot, no-frills affair, which perfectly encapsulates the tension and excitement of the early hours.
MARK VAN HEUSDEN:
Zoe loved the idea, especially because she wrote the track whilst suffering from insomnia.
"This video was shot during the third lockdown. Zoe and I were a bit nervous about getting a crew together because Covid-19 cases were quite high at the time, so instead I decided to shoot it by myself as it was the safest and also cost-effective way to shoot the video.
"The concept of Zoe sleepwalking through the deserted streets of South London came about simply because the track felt very dreamy to me. It was more of a joke initially to take the dreamy feeling way too literal and follow a sleepwalker wandering around.
"However Zoe loved the idea, especially because she wrote the track whilst suffering from insomnia. My silly joke suddenly made a lot of sense, and so a few weeks later we wandered around at night armed with pink pyjamas and a camera to make this video."
