BAFTA-nominated animator Honor Price has directed a&nbsp;stop-motion epic for two songs from the Icelandic band Of Monsters and Men's comeback album.Price's nine-minute film was created for the two-part album sequence The Block and Mouse Parade from All Is Love and Pain in the Mouse Parade, released last October.The film unfolds as two parallel narratives occupying the same space. Above ground, a solitary mouse-like figure runs endlessly in a cage before tumbling into a vast wilderness. What follows is a relentless climb up a mountainous rock face; a physical and emotional ascent marked by isolation and strain.[imgtoken data:1]As the track transitions into Mouse Parade, the camera descends beneath the floorboards into a hidden underground city. Where the figure above is disconnected and alone, this subterranean community moves as one - tightly bound, resilient, and interdependent.Honor Price says that she was drawn to the emotional duality in the songs. “I was thrilled to create this two-part film for Of Monsters and Men - building two parallel worlds through stop motion, puppetry, and layered multiplane sets."Rendered in tactile stop-motion, the film leans into texture, scale, and atmosphere. Humans appear strangely mouse-like, while the puppeted mice feel deeply human, subtly inverting perspective. The result is eerie, intimate and quietly devastating - a meditation on isolation, belonging and the fragile light we carry for one another.“We were excited to make the bulk of the entire video by hand using traditional handcrafted animation methods," says Price. "Specifically stop-motion, puppetry, and multiplane. By layering real sets on glass and compositing rod puppets into them, we created a fully tactile, dimensional world that we think evokes the themes and emotion of the tracks.”

Andreas Nilsson makes a rare return to music videos with a characteristically weird and wonderful storyline for the first release from British rock band White Lies' forthcoming new album, Night Light.It's fifteen years or more since Nilsson was directing and creative directing for Fever Ray, ten-plus years since his acclaimed, off-the-wall videos for 2Chainz and Miike Snow. He has gone on to be a highly decorated commercials director, the winner of prety much every prize in adland for his memorable work for the likes of&nbsp;Apple, Old Spice, Uber Eats, Andrex, and Virgin Media. Now he's back in pop vids, with a Bangkok-set tale of heavy smoking and unusual dancing by a reanimated near-nude man.For the video for In The Middle, Nilsson leans heavily into intense&nbsp;atmosphere of the setting, the suffocating effect on the viewer of watching his cast of characters relentlessly puffing away on cigarettes, and the casting of actors who wear their richly lived lives with them on screen. Gemma Yin directs a dazzling promo for Sugababes that highlights&nbsp;their status as one of the iconic girl groups of British pop.&nbsp;The video for Weeds features a gentle collection of evocative vignettes, mixing performance and symbolic interpretations of growth, displayed through textural overlays and cutaways.&nbsp;It's another strong visual from the group, paying homage to previous videos whilst keeping the same fresh, absorbing edge that made them the icons they are today.&nbsp;Using a mix of projected imagery in-camera, and archival footage in the edit, layered montages mirror the harmonies of the vocal performance and visual synergy of the band. Sugababes are back with an instant classic, and a very slick promo from&nbsp;Dora Paphides.The video for Jungle finds the trio in a vast office space, where a menagerie of artistic vignettes unfold.&nbsp;Switching up between performance, choreography and abstract cutaways, it has all the markers of a classic Sugababes video, filtered through a mature, contemporary lens."I think I approached this video from a fan perspective," explains Paphides.&nbsp;"I’ve loved the Sugababes forever so this was an instinctive thing to do. I sort of thought, what would get me excited watching a new Sugababes video, and led with that instinct."The concept was an editorial/pop take on day and night. I wanted to create this sense of night time and things aren’t what they seem at night.&nbsp; This translated into these office scenes, where the band slowly break out and enter the rave. Blink, and you might miss something. I wanted to create this sense of being in the dark and misinterpreting something you’ve seen. Or being drunk and trying to remember what happened."I looked a lot at Kito Munoz’s work, previous Prada and Rick Owens campaigns... Harry Blackley directs a decidely British fever dream for SOFY.&nbsp;Sat at a dining room table doing everything except from eating dinner, we see SOFY fire Subbuteo figurines into alphabetti spaghetti, stick pins into a doll and have a reckless riot of a time, whilst barely moving from her chair.&nbsp;It's a fun concept that suits the short and sweet track, and pays homage to some obscure references in a whimsical, playful manner.&nbsp;A brilliant little video that leaves a lasting impression - just don't add SOFY to your list of dinner guests any time soon...&nbsp;

Balan Evans directs a contemplative&nbsp;promo for White Lies.&nbsp;Filmed entirely from the ground looking up, the unique vantage point mirrors the perspective of an injured person laid out on the floor, in-keeping with the themes of the track.&nbsp;Though a little morbid in tone, the visuals are surprisingly playful and tongue in cheek - an impatient lawyer getting a signature during&nbsp;the character's dying breaths feels uncomfortably life-like.&nbsp;The concept cycles through a handful of setups, building an essence of a narrative around the imagery, but the lingering questions - e.g. who is this man and why is he on the floor dying - make for a suspenseful, engaging watch.&nbsp;
