An intense, grotesque, extraordinary&nbsp;video for Slowthai by directing collective Crowns &amp; Owls.With great cinematography by Jack Exton and terrific grade by Tim Smith that punches the richness of the colours to the max, this has a hyperreal visual aesthetic as visceral as this powerful track&nbsp;deserves, without sinking into darkness.But at the heart is the performance of Tyron Frampton&nbsp;(aka Slowthai) himself, which is remarkable. It's a visible howl of anguish and pain, but still with that unmistakeable chink of impudence and humour.

Hector Aponysus directs an evocative promo for Petite Noir, featuring Sampa the Great.&nbsp;The video for Blurry sees the artist - real name&nbsp;Yannick Ilunga - perform in an industrial setting, whilst a series of experimental vignettes play out on-screen.&nbsp;Shot in 16mm black and white, and inspired by the spirit of 70's performance artists such as Carolee Schneemann, Marina Abromović and the work of William Kentridge, the film attempts to capture a sense of Petite Noir's interior and exterior experiences of the world, contemplating the meaning of shadow projection and evoking visions of claustrophobic unease.Beautifully abstract with a refreshingly inventive aesthetic, it's a brilliantly creative collaboration between the artist and director - who won the Best Live Video prize at the UKMVAs last October.&nbsp;

Charlie Robins directs a hypnotic promo for The Comet Is Coming.&nbsp;Unabashedly wild and atmospheric, the visual sees a small group of people driven insane by an enigmatic force, visualised in the form of a circle.&nbsp;Kept purposefully vague, Robins combines live action with elements of animation, demanding&nbsp;viewers to come to their own conclusion as to what's happening. One thing's for sure, it's not your everyday scenario.[imgtoken data:1]"This was always going to be pretty nuts," says Robins. "I had a great conversation with the band about the new album called Hyper Dimensional Expansion Beam. That name was enough of a jumping off point, and I just threw a load of crazy shit at it. It felt right to be weird and post-apocalyptic but also disorientating and fucked up. I wanted to make people feel a bit sick in all honesty. "The music is so crazy yet intricately put together, there is something beautifully chaotic about it which fit very well with some post and camera techniques I’ve been developing for a while."I worked very closely with the immense team at Agile (particularly the post guys!) to make this film happen. What a seriously talented, generous and wonderful bunch of humans they are."&nbsp;

Ebeneza Blanche creates an impressionistic portrait of London life, around the charismatic presence of Joy Crookes, in the video for 19th Floor.With an emphasis on family and community, Blanche's video for 19th Floor echoes his previous&nbsp;video for Little Simz's Point And Kill, set in Nigeria. Here he presents Joy at home with her grandmother, and nods to her part-Irish heritage, and a series of performance vignettes is augmented by her performing a traditional Irish dance, in an abandoned building.[imgtoken data:1]Blanche also highlights an eclectic group of working class people and families&nbsp;in West London, and cleverly connects them as they watch a man falling from the iconic Trellick Tower - and come together to save him.&nbsp;With Joy Crookes at its heart, the video has a nostalgic and warmth, and an additional touch of mystery and magic, that is captured&nbsp;by DoP Jack Exton and&nbsp;goes hand-in-hand with the beautiful styling of&nbsp;Matthew Josephs and Justin Hamilton.&nbsp;“By placing Joy Crookes as the voice for the underprivileged, I wanted to create a visual that questions and provokes the viewers by spotlighting the different races and class systems in London," says Blanche.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:2]"I also wanted to pay homage to the community affected by the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower, by showing a male falling off the roof and being caught by the bystanders to symbolise the unity and empowerment of the people."The experience working with Joy Crookes felt very organic.
