Best of 2015: Top 20 Animated Music Videos

Promo News - 16th Dec 2015

It's time to start our annual round-up of the year's best music videos, and where better than to begin here, with the best animated videos of 2015.

No question, its been a year of high achievement, and wonderful diversity. Fantastic work in 2D, CGI and stop-frame - sometimes all in the same video, as with Leftfield's Head & Shoulders (above). And the unbridled, anarchic aesthetic of that video is also found in several of our favourite animated videos of the year, from Amaro & Walden's Joyride to Radkey's Glore, and the MVA-winning animation in Royal Blood's Out Of The Black.

There has been amazing innovative technique, as with Son Lux's Change Is Everything (created with pins and elastic thread), big budget motion capture (Coldplay) and distinctive illustrative styles evident everywhere.

A difficult job just picking 20, but here they are...*

*And if you think we've missed something great, please mention your own favourite(s) in the comments section below...
