Men Seni Suyemin - the nom de plume of classically trained guitarist-producer Minona Volandova - self-directs this promo for Dance Is Life. Featuring a montage of vertical mobile phone footage, the video sees friends of the artist dancing and performing to the track, in several countries around the world. A feel-good visual that evokes the same fun energy as the lo-fi videos we saw back in lockdown.

BWTV creates a loved-up, user-generated visualiser for Baby Queen’s latest release Online Dating. Enlisting the help of her ever-expanding fanbase on Instagram, the promo exists in an unusual space between the "lockdown video" and a visualiser - which has become a phenomenon and sprawling genre of its own in the last year or two - managing to take the best of both formats and create something hybrid and unique. Pastel colour palettes and bouncy animation channel a safer, more inclusive vibe, whilst Baby Queen's engaging performance shows viewers a raw, vulnerable side to the artist. "We wanted to create an online dating safe-space for the fast growing Baby Kingdom fans," explain BWTV's Liam and Ryan. "We hosted an insta live AMA and invited fans on socials to share dating profiles, stories and chat up lines! Then we put all that love and data into the BWTV magimachine and this is what popped out!"

Lily Rose Thomas builds upon a familiar perspective, in her video for Oliver Pash's No Namer Blues. Over lockdown many of us have been holed up inside, staring out the window to see how others are coping and getting on. Framed by a simple concept that blends the inside and outside worlds, Thomas had the idea to focus on windows and our personal experiences of lockdown. Spanning a number of unique user-generated clips, the video is an international effort with a charming and ethereal style.

Disco-funk duo Ekkah celebrate love in all its forms, in Betty Lish's punchy pastel promo for Room 4 Love. The visual features a selection of self-shot footage from friends, fans and family, intercut with a performance by Ekkah (aka Rebekah Pennington and Rebecca Wilson) and an array of vaporwave-inspired iconography. Blissfully nostalgic and bold, the concept has a retrofuturistic aesthetic, depicting the future as it could have been imagined in the 90's and around Y2K.

Wafia celebrates a new chapter in her life in Eugene McMahon's lockdown video for Pick Me. Utilising a block colour background and a variety of self-shot footage, Wafia relaxes into a new way of life, away from worries about men or work. Instead, she is connecting with her friends over video call, hanging out as they each spend their days doing something they love. Like many lockdown videos, the locations and setups are obviously kept to a minimum, given the nature of shooting options right now. That said, each performance feels refreshingly understated and intimate, a nice contrast to the dance-challenge videos that populated our feeds at the start of lockdown.

Calum Macdiarmid directs an uplifting crowdsourced video for JP Cooper's Little Bit Of Love. Alongside JP singing along to the music, filming himself whilst on isolated walks or in lockdown at home, the video features a compilation of feel-good moments shot by his fans, showcasing a wide variety of clips including nature, holidays, family moments, birthdays, weddings, and countless dance moves, which have been compiled by Macdiarmid and edited by Julia Knight.And it demonstrates that while it can be easy to feel overwhelmed or dejected in challenging times like these, people across the world are still finding countless ways to spread joy and positivity.

Max Sobol directs a timely crowd-sourced new video for DJ/producers Brain Rays and Parish News' Inner Freak. The film consists of footage filmed by a music-loving cast of family, friends, and acquaintances from all over the world, sharing the same experience of life on lockdown - and sadly away from the dancefloor.Brain Rays had the idea after seeing the ways people were dealing with the unique circumstances brought about by the Covid-19 crisis. Then Max Sobol worked with choreographer, dancer and singer-songwriter Bryony Perkins (Punchdrunk), to create a quarantine-inspired ‘TikTok’ style dance routine for the video’s cast to perform. All proceeds from sales and downloads of Inner Freak will go towards supporting Masks for NHS Heroes. #InnerFreaks4NHS

Hope Kemp And Ronan Corrigan intertwine various lockdown love stories in the video for The Academic's Anything Could Happen. By no means strangers to non-traditional music videos - 2017's Bear Claws saw the group exploit a delay in Facebook live to great effect, which garnered viral attention - The Academic showcase love and relationships using footage submitted from fans across the globe. Authentic, naturalistic and thoroughly charming, the video avoids overly set-up situations or challenges. It just celebrates the imperfect world we live in, and the brilliant people we get to share it with.
