Ekkah 'Room 4 Love' by Betty Lish
Disco-funk duo Ekkah celebrate love in all its forms, in Betty Lish's punchy pastel promo for Room 4 Love.
The visual features a selection of self-shot footage from friends, fans and family, intercut with a performance by Ekkah (aka Rebekah Pennington and Rebecca Wilson) and an array of vaporwave-inspired iconography.
Blissfully nostalgic and bold, the concept has a retrofuturistic aesthetic, depicting the future as it could have been imagined in the 90's and around Y2K.
With the world in isolation it gave me an opportunity to delve into what making Room 4 Love truly represents.
"It's been a challenging six weeks making this project. What started out as something quite small in my mind over time grew and grew. With the world in isolation and a chance to look inwards, it gave me an opportunity to really delve into the concept of what making Room 4 Love truly represents.
"Every person in this video, filmed themselves at home during the Covid crisis, which in my eyes, makes this even more special. There is always hope and love even in the most uncertain times."
