Ruben Do Valle directs a gently ethereal promo for Portuguese singer Bárbara Bandeira, featuring Brazilian artist Veigh.Set in a big house in the country, the video for Fumaça - 'smoke' in English - features a handful of artistic performance vignettes, effortlessly cinematic in their presentation. A great balance of conceptual experimentation and traditional performance vibes. "I decided to embellish the classic Portuguese aesthetic, bringing the artists to a grand manor where the elegance of traditional Portuguese architecture could truly shine," says Do Valle. "This collaboration between a Portuguese artist and a Brazilian artist sought to deeply root itself in Portuguese heritage throughout the entire music video."I envisioned a visual composition that would be both alluring and harmonious with some elements that could symbolized warmth - a creation I entrusted to the art director, inspired by the song's lyrics which also speak of heat."Throughout the film, the intent was to keep these artists entwined within this aesthetic, weaving a sense of sensuality and warmth that lingers from beginning to end."
