Directing duo Our World Is Grey - Daniel Broadley and Joshua Halling - direct a surreal, neon-drenched promo for the debut single by PRESIDENT, the mystery metal band keeping their real identities secret. The video for In The Name Of The Father finds the lead singer of the band - in tuxedo, gloves and a rubber mask face hiding his true features - in a hotel function room, performing as vibrant lyrical overlays flash on screen. Broadley and Halling's latest collab - following their punchy promo for Coach Party - is unnerving and conceptually rich. An absorbing visual that balances an enigmatic idea with pure performance exhilaration, as the mystery frontman is joined by brief flashes of the rest of the outfit."World building is incredibly fun, especially for a new band," say Our World Is Grey. "PRESIDENT came to us with a blank canvas, and allowed us the freedom to interpret this strange dystopian landscape for them to broadcast their message."The directors add that PRESIDENT are being careful to shield their identities, leading to considerable speculation as to who they really are. That also impacted upon the production of the video."Anonymity was hugely important. so we assigned a stripped-back skeleton crew to the project, with a series of shot ideas," they explain. "Then [we] leaned into the regal yet chilling architecture of an abandoned hotel in Croydon in order to make something that felt unique to their project."

Central Cee shows his sensitive side in Dir. Lx's lowkey but rewarding video for I Will, filmed in a wintry Brighton.Shot on 16mm, Cee's understated performance in a hotel room, is countered with vignettes of a girls' night out, including a girl who may be the object of his heartfelt lyrics. Lx uses the interplay of the performance and narrative to amplify the feeling behind Cee's words. It's a cinematic, fly-on-the-wall approach focussing on small moments, and its all the more impactful as a result. Very nice work indeed.

Charlie Rees directs a euphoric promo for Eats Everything's new single, Tell You What It Is.In the video, we see an exhausted hotel porter shake off his stressful day, being struck by a sudden need to dance. The increasingly surreal environment sees the character mutate, separate from his clothing and glitch as he vibes out to the track, putting on a spectacular show at various points in the building. Captivatingly shot, the video seamlessly stitches together separate scenes with careful timing and clever visual effects, to elevate the surreality of the concept.“The video is a euphoric fever dream that follows an exhausted hotel porter into the void as he’s confronted with the different elements of his character that are being stifled and want to come out and dance," explains Rees. "It was so much fun to direct. I've been wanting to create a dance video that's led by a surreal/archaic narrative for some time. It's a style that I want to explore further. The song is rooted in 90s rave culture so I have referenced some of my 90s favourites. See if you can spot Human Traffic, Fatboy Slim's Weapon of Choice and The Matrix, to name a few."
