Harry Styles is back with a delightful first single from his new album - and reunites with Aube Perrie for a mysterious, suspenseful, eventually equally delightful video.Following the acclaimed videos that Perrie directed for Styles's Music For A Sushi Restaurant and Satellite in 2022 and '23, the video for Aperture follows that tradition of warping known reality into something wonderfully off-kilter and absurd. But as we have discovered before, this is a place where Harry is comfortable, and abundantly capable to bend to his own personality. It opens with Harry in hotel hell, a corporate space where he's trapped on hold on the phone. He seeks to escape - and then he discovers he's being followed. What's more, his stalker resembles Javier Bardem in No Country For Old Man. And you don't want to be followed by him.But what comes next is unexpected to say the least. And it's all down to Perrie's ease in twisting our world from real to surreal. And in this pursuit, he has the best of collaborators in DoP Chris Ripley and choreographer Ryan Heffington, who turns this paranoid thriller chase into a unique dance routine. It's amazing and who knows, may be destined to become a classic. Sometimes that happens when you set a brilliantly bizarre and joyful dance routine in a hotel lobby.
