Josh McCartney directs an escapist fantasy for KT Tunstall's new single I Am The Pilot. The kaleidoscopic, lo-fi stylings of McCartney's promo from the Scottish folk-rock icon provide a little respite from the madness of the real world, presenting an amalgamation of DIY graphics and a dynamic performance from Tunstall. Many of the graphics in the visual seem familiar - the air balloons, for example, seem identical to those seen on a Windows XP wallpaper - and it's this sense of mystery and anachronism that makes the video so wonderfully absorbing.

Henry Oliver blurs the line between our online and offline worlds, in this radiant promo for Michael Aldag. The video for Ghosted explores the role technology plays in our everyday lives, seamlessly blending studio setups with mobile phone footage. Playful and effortlessly charming, it's another knockout performance from the rising artist, with an equally mesmerising visual from Oliver.

Callum Lloyd-James directs a lively, graphic-centric promo in his third video for Scottish indie outfit Vistas.Inspired by the geometric, playful vibe of the group's artwork, the video places the boys in a busy composited environment, sliding and rotating through an endless stream of shapes and designs. It's a change of pace from Lloyd-James' previous videos for Vistas, but very much aligned with the experimentation present in his most recent work."The artwork for Vistas new album is so distinct, all based around geometric shapes and cartoon characters, and I wanted to place the band in that world and bring it to life," explains Lloyd-James."It was the first time I'd shot an entire video on green-screen, so it presented some interesting challenges. But I am really happy with the way it's all come out."Shout out to Alajandra López Martín who animated this video. She really smashed it out the park."

Martin J Pickering presents the second of a trilogy of promos for Morcheeba, this time for enigmatic track The Moon.Following on from the watery depths of their previous promo for Sounds Of Blue, Morcheeba's Skye Edwards emerges from the waves and embarks on a hauntingly beautiful journey through a moonlit landscape. Only the lunar powers that be can decide where she will end up…The cinematography of DoP Luke Biggins, and the VFX work of Matt Bowmer, pays homage to Sin City and gothic aesthetics, and the performances are top-notch. Keep your eyes peeled for the final part of this absorbing and haunting project.

Quinn Murdy directs a funky greenscreen extravaganza for Diggin Dirt. Based in Humboldt County, CA, the band has been touring up and down the West Coast, and this is their first music video. Paying homage to lo-fi psychedelia, this is like a modern take on Deee-Lite's The Groove Is In The Heart, mixed in with the kind of cheesy cutscenes found in daytime reality TV - and that is praise of the highest order. Brilliantly bonkers.

After releasing high resolution greenscreen footage at the beginning of quarantine, Grimes gave video creators the opportunity to create something as they saw fit, using post-production and effects.Brent Bonacorso has stepped up to the plate, and this is his vision for the concept - exploring technology, myth, conception and creation. It is a mighty effort of VFX skill, and he also pays to due homage to Grimes, pregnant when created the greenscreen footage, becoming a mother for the first time during the production process. Breathtaking textures collide with distorted shapes, creating an aesthetic that falls somewhere between The Matrix and I, Robot. Grimes' otherworldly performance fits perfectly within this dynamic, a soft and ethereal being in a dark abyss of futurism and refined brutalist structures. To get from greenscreen performance footage to this video is a huge achievement, and a testament to Bonacorso's creative ingenuity.
